THE LOOP KNOT

This knot is very simple to tie and is used to put a loop in the end of the leader for attaching to the fly line or main line. It is equally useful for fly, spin and coarse fishing.

Tying:

1. Double the end of the leader and form a loop and then form a single over hand knot.

2. Add a second over hand knot.

3. Hold the main line and the tag end and gently tighten. The size of the loop can be adjusted at this stage for size immediately prior to tightening. Remember to lubricate the Knot before it is tightened.

3. Trim off the tag end approximately 1/8" from the loop.
