TEWITFIELDS LAKE

Tickets: Available on site.

Directions: Take A6070 road from Tewitfield to Crooklands from A6 North of Carnforth. Fishery is on left between A6070 and A6. From Crooklands fishery is 200 yards on right before A6.

An old gravel pit, it is generally deepish and very clear and is about 7 acres and stocked with Carp, Tench, Rudd, Perch, Roach and Pike.

There are two ponds here, all species are in either pond - apart from Pike, which I understand are in the larger pond only.  Smaller fish respond well to maggot and pellet from the dividing walkway.  The bigger carp generally come from the opposite bank when you arrive.  Pike respond well to pre feeding with maggot and/or hemp to draw in the smaller fish - which in turn draw the pike in.
