BIGLAND HALL COARSE FISHERY

Directions: Take the A590 Crooklands to Barrow-in-Furness road and just past the small dual carriageway after Newby Bridge look for fishery sign on left hand side of road. Follow signs for 1½ miles up lane.

Fish stocks include Carp, Pike, Perch, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Bream.

Float fishing tactics, pole or ledger all work although the water tends to get quite weedy so the swims need to be well raked if ledgering. Depths vary from about 6' to 14' although parts of the water are up to about 30'. Usual baits include maggots, caster, worms, hemp, sweet corn, meat, boilies and pellets.
