Thorax Chopped olive marabou or medium olive seal's fur or SLF
Beard Hackle Medium olive cock

Fishing Method:

Best figure-of-eighted on floating line with long leader. Also works well on intermediate. Very good for getting fish on the drop.

This fly is a superb damsel nymph imitation and takes fish every month of the year.

It does extremely well with wily fish that have been in the water some time.

Also works well in light or dark olive and can also be tied in hot orange, shocking pink and black and white. All these colours kill well but the medium olive is an absolute must on stillwaters, particularly when the water is very clear. Try this pattern and we think you will always want a few of these superb fish getters in your box.
